Our goal was to make a pumpkin beer that was ingredient rich, but drinkable. So, balance was the key. We didn’t want a spice bomb or something sickeningly sweet. We combine pumpkin puree, cinnamon sticks, clove, nutmeg, fresh ginger root, vanilla beans and black strap molasses in such a balanced way, it’s tough to pick one of them out. All of the ingredients are real (not flavorings) and the whole spices are crushed the day of the brew.
